Olen Walter Götsch, suomalainen monialataiteilija. Työni perustuu käytettävyyteen, kenttätutkimukseen, ja symbolismiin. Etsin tapoja olla yhteydessä ympäristöön ja historiaan, ja tämän kautta luoda tapoja ajatella tulevaisuutta.
Valmistuin Vaatetussunnittelun ja pukutaiteen Kanditaatiksi Aalto-yliopistosta 2016, ja suoritin Taiteen Maisterin tutkintoni Amsterdamissa Sandberg-insituutissa 2019. Valmistumisen jälkeen työskentelin Amsterdamissa sekä yksin että Pillars of Autumn – taiteilijaryhmässä. Sekä opiskeluaikana että valmistumisen jälkeen osallistuin näyttelyihin Amsterdamissa ja Rotterdamissa.
Keväällä 2022 tein tilateoksen Galleria Asbestokseen, nimikkeellä “ some parts seem unfamiliar… “
Tilateoksessa esittelin käsintehtyjä suomalaisia työkaluja ja työkoneiden osia 30-luvulta. Kysyin miten nykyihminen tunnistaa näitä työkaluja?
Rakensin kesällä 2021 kelluvan installaation nimeltä “ Järven Henki 1 “ Orimattilan Mallusjärvelle.
Keväällä 2021 näyttely Galleria Kalleriassa, Installaatio “Huomenta Suomi” yhdessä Lucas Vogtin kanssa.
I am Walter Götsch, a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is grounded in usability, field research, and symbolism.
My education includes an MA at the Dirty Art Department of Sandberg Instituut in the Netherlands (2019); BA in Fashion and Clothing design from the Aalto University in Finland(2016), with an exchange program at Musashino Art University in Japan(2014).

The rural is where both my work and the future, are happening. Along with the mountains, the sea, the garden, Standing Rock Reservation, the 4th generation nuclear reactors, and metaverse cloud platform megastructures.
